Baker Built is a general contracting business on Orcas Island. When you call, you talk to me. When the work happens, I am on site with my hands on it. Nothing gets handed down a chain until nobody remembers what you asked for.
Every project is a collaboration. I bring clear communication, careful planning, and a commitment to quality, whether it's a custom build, a deck, a remodel, or a simple repair.
My goal is straightforward: to build spaces that work well, look great, and last.

Calls get returned, questions get straight answers, and you know what is happening on your house without having to chase me down.
The plan comes first
Materials, sequence, and the ferry are worked out before the first cut. Out here, planning is most of the job.
It gets finished
Clean site, tight details, and a last walk-through where anything that is not right gets made right.
Service area
Island work, island schedule.
Baker Built is based on Orcas Island and works throughout San Juan County — Orcas, Lopez, San Juan, Shaw, and the smaller islands. Ferry schedules and barge trips are part of planning a job out here, and they get built into the timeline from the start.
Larger projects off-island are possible by arrangement. If you are not sure whether your place is in range, call and ask.
